Water Well Technician
Responsibilities & Duties
- Troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of submersible well pumps and booster pumps
- Plans, designs, and installs equipment for well systems
- Provide testing and treatment for water quality issues; provides consultation to customers regarding application of the state-of-the-art water treatment methods, systems and techniques
- Communication with customers and co-workers
- Supervise assigned staff
- Electrical, plumbing and windmill work
- Maintain accurate records of job reports
- Driving, operating and basic maintaining of pump rigs and service trucks
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Other job-related duties as assigned
- Work “on-call” during weekends, as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Have of valid New Mexico driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- Must have 2-years of experience in the water industry with knowledge of pumps, motors, wells, electricity, and piping
- Basic knowledge of excavation equipment
- Possess leadership, organizational, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be safety conscious, understand hazards and dangers associated with the job
- Able to regularly lift and move 50 pounds
- Quality checking to ensure correct specifications of all parts
- Effectively participates as part of the team, leading and assisting where appropriate
- Maintain a drug free environment
- Self-motivated and detail oriented, work with minimal supervision

Water Well Technician Apprentice
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of submersible well pumps and booster pumps
- Assist with water filtration, testing and treatment
- Assist with job preparation, assembling parts, materials and supplies
- Communication with Technician and co-workers
- Assist with electrical, plumbing and windmill work
- Maintain accurate records of job reports
- Driving, operating and maintaining pump rigs and service trucks
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Work “on-call” during weekends, as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Have a valid New Mexico driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- No prior water well experience required
- Possess organizational, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be safety conscious, understand hazards and dangers associated with the job
- Able to regularly lift and move 50 pounds
